Hello all:

We wrapped up a terrific event in 2018. It was so hard to see it end. Thank you to all who attended last season. To top it off, Santa and the Christmas Land elves made a visit to the Albany Medical Center Pediatric Cancer Center and spent a few hours with the kids and families delivering toys. It was a bit of wet winter but neither rain, snow or sleet will stop the magic…

2019 – Summer:

The summer of 2019 rolls in some sweltering heat. That doesn’t stop the elves at Christmas Land. They invite the kids to make edible ornaments for the woodland animals and trail walk into the Christmas Land forest and hang them. Johnny our forest elf leads a trail of kids to the Night Tree. Joely, our college elf reads them the story of the “Night Tree” by Eve Bunting. The story lets kids know what the animals are doing at Christmas time while we are all snug and warm in our homes. We cannot forget about our forest animals.
They need love too!!

Our garden elves, Eva and Natalie were very busy showing kids how to make painted rocks. Eva explained to the kids to write or draw something about someone important in your life. She even displayed her artwork of a sunset on a rock made for her grandma. What wonderful garden elves these girls were exhibiting patience with the other kids and displaying kindness to each one.

Don’t think the big guy didn’t notice all the kindness being shown since he was there in his summer apparel participating in a water balloon contest. Ahhh, what fun we all had…the summer wind blows out and the Autumn wind blows in, apple trees blooming, cider being made and Frankie the Train is waking up from his long winter’s nap. Another college elf, Audria is so artistically talented. She surprised us with new Christmas scenes and cutouts for the kids to play in. A nice fella named Bomber arrives on the scene who is a master craftsman with wood. He built several benches for the memory garden and is surprising us with other homemade wooden items. He is fixing up the fire pit area adding a slice of coziness. Santa sure does bless us with amazing elves.

Paul our Christmas Land angel and his nephew Darrel continue to surprise us helping in ways that make Christmas Land memorable for all. So many new artisans will be selling their homemade creations from clothing to honey to jewelry to signs to decorations to hats and mittens. Lots of surprises await you this year. We couldn’t be more excited to see old friends and make new friends because that is what is important, cherishing our friends and letting them know how special they are to us. See you soon!!!!!!
